At the Averill Farm orchard in Washington Depot, you can grab apples, pumpkins, cider, jams, jellies, and some yummy apple cider doughnuts from the farm's orchard.
Connecticut
Other scenic apple-picking locations in Connecticut include Bishop's Orchards in Guilford, Lyman Orchards in Middlefield, and Rose Orchards in North Branford.
Cayford Orchards in Skowhegan grows 57 types of apples, and unlike many places, they charge by the bag instead of the pound, so pricing is simple.
Maine
Also in Maine, Libby & Son U-Picks in Limerick was voted No. 1 best apple orchard by USA Today in 2023. They even have music and a senior discount.
Washburn's Windy Hill Orchard in Greenville, voted the No. 1 apple orchard by WMUR viewers, has over 700 apple trees. There is also a corn maze, gift shop, and bakery.
New Hampshire
Stone Mountain Farm in Belmont has high-density orchards and a farm stand, and on weekends, you can pick apples and hit their doughnut truck.
Jaswell's Farm in Smithfield is part of "Apple Valley" and was founded in 1899. In addition to apple picking, they have sunflower picking, a market, and a bakery.
Rhode Island
Old Stone Orchard in Little Compton and Pippin Orchard in Cranston also feature animals to view and pet, making it great for families with kids.
At Honey Pot Hill Orchards in Stow, you can pick up apple cider doughnuts, explore a "monster maze," and see farm critters like mini-ponies, rabbits, and goats.
Massachusetts
Bolton Spring Farm in Bolton has a pumpkin patch and a bakery featuring mouthwatering hot apple dumplings, hot apple crisp, and cider-spiced doughnuts.
Burtt's Apple Orchard in Cabot and Shelburne Orchards in Shelburne both feature plenty of apples to pick and alcoholic drinks for adult visitors.
Vermont
Champlain Orchards in Shoreham has raspberries, pears, and 30 apple varieties, and it even features Friday outdoor movie nights in its cider garden.
