A diverse national park with three ecosystems across one million acres, Olympic has snow-capped mountains, temperate rain forests, and miles of coastline.
Olympic National Park
Consistently rated one of the best national parks, it offers spectacular beauty and activities such as hiking, biking, kayaking, canoeing, camping, and whale watching.
The best time to visit Olympic is during the summer. It’s the Pacific Northwest's dry season and prime wildflower time, and there will be warm temperatures and blue skies.
Mount Rainier is a short drive from Seattle and perfect for a day trip to experience its dramatic glacier-capped peak, which is starkly contrasted with wildflower meadows.

Mount Rainier is a volcano that’s been dormant for 1,000 years, but it is expected to erupt again. Only 50 percent of hikers successfully summit the 3-mile peak.

Redwood National Park
The park has 40 miles of wild coastline, sprawling prairies, rushing rivers, lagoons, and marshland. Activities include hiking, whale watching, fishing, canoeing, and swimming.
Sequoia is home to the giant sequoia trees. The world's largest by volume, the General Sherman Tree, has a base that is 36 feet in diameter, the width of a tennis court.
