Joshua grew up in Florida, lived in suburban New York and rural Missouri, and traveled cross-country in the U.S. before moving to Tokyo in 2010. Since 2017, he has contributed regularly to sites like /Film, Inverse, Japan Today, GaijinPot, and WDW News Today, with many of his travel-related articles focusing on tourist attractions with a pop culture connection. Joshua is certified to teach English as a foreign language and was a freelance editor on the Japan Tourism Agency's 2020 governmental signage project.
