- In 2018, Jackie recruited her brother and sister-in-law to plan a four-day mystery vacation where she didn't know where she was going until she got to the airport.

Experience
After responding to a rather sketchy Craigslist ad, Jackie found her true calling and has worked as a professional travel writer for seven years. She's a writer and editor for OnlyInYourState, writing daily articles highlighting all of the amazing things to do in her home state of Louisiana. In 2022, she joined the ViaTravelers team, where she writes about traveling to some of the most remote destinations in Northern Europe as a solo female traveler. She joined Static Media's Explore Feature Team in 2023 and continues to encourage other travelers to step outside their comfort zone.

Jackie has a bachelor's degree in Communication Studies from Louisiana State University.
