Ian is a UK-based writer and editor with over twenty years of experience. He got his first break writing newsletters for the Fukushima prefectural government in Japan and has been writing ever since. He has written for dozens of publications, including in-flight magazines, Newsweek, Fine & Country, and numerous online blogs, fanzines, and specialty periodicals. He is also the author of several well-received academic textbooks published by Routledge.

Ian has a postgraduate degree in journalism from Murdoch University in West Australia.
