- Eva has traveled to 25 countries and has lived as a nomad for the last 10 years.
- Before turning 20, Eva visited every state in the US except Alaska. She and her mother sold Indonesian imports at markets and fairs, which opened Eva's eyes to travel at a young age.
- Eva speaks five languages (English, Thai, Bahasa Indonesia, Spanish, and Italian), which helps her find destination-specific tips unavailable to people who don't speak the local language.
Experience
Eva has worked as a freelance travel writer and editor for almost ten years; however, her writing career began in journalism. While Eva loved political news reporting, her wanderlust led her to Southeast Asia in 2014. There, she turned her love of off-the-beaten-path destinations and meticulous itinerary planning into a travel writing career with work on KAYAK, Wedding Pioneer, OpenTable, and numerous resort blogs. Eva enjoys writing about romantic destinations, foodie tourism, unique hotels, and cultural attractions. When she's not writing, Eva can be found at Latin and Afro dance festivals around the world.
Education
Eva received a bachelor's degree in History from Skidmore College, in New York. She also completed a four-year Thai Language and Culture certification at Chiang Mai University, in Thailand.
