Love the solitude of fishing on a serene lake, surrounded by peaceful views and the best of nature? The Lone Oak RV Park in Valley View, Texas offers all of the popular amenities that make for a wonderful stay on the shores of Ray Roberts Lake State Park. Located about a half hour from Dallas near Denton, Texas, this pet-friendly RV park features 26 pull-through sites with 50/30/20 amp electric, WiFi, and water. Restrooms, showers, and laundry are on-site. RV Park stays require a 6-month minimum lease and offer gated storage for cars, trucks, and boats.

Ray Roberts Lake is less crowded, with plenty of open water for wakeboarding, tubing, or sailing. They call it a fisherman's paradise because ample quantities of largemouth bass, crappie, white bass, and catfish can be caught there. The average size bass is between 8 and 10 pounds, while the largest ever caught in the lake weighed more than 15 pounds (and that's no fish story)! You can trawl from the shore or pier without a fishing license, or compete in their major bass tournaments. There are two marinas on the lake. The Lake Ray Roberts Marina has 500 open and covered boat slips. The Lone Star Marina offers pontoon boat and double-decker boat rentals. There is also a kid's fish pond where you can teach your children how to enjoy the sport of fishing.
