American Airlines Has Made Spring Travel To Europe Cheaper Than Ever
Anyone who has ever planned a European vacation knows things can start to add up. From finding a nice place to stay, booking transportation, and wanting to enjoy as many local delicacies as possible, you may feel your pockets begin to rapidly empty. Thankfully, one airline has taken it upon themselves to lighten the load, offering cheap round-trip flights from many major U.S. airports. From now until January 28, travelers can visit the American Airlines website to book a round-trip European vacation with prices starting at $426. Buyers should be aware that the tickets are on a first come first serve basis, and seats may sell out before the sale ends.
The dates of travel depend on the final destination, but most of the tickets can be booked for departure from January until May 2025. According to their website, the offer is only valid for reservations made in the U.S. for nonstop flights to select European destinations. In addition, travelers must be able to depart on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Sunday from the U.S. and take a return flight on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday.
What to know before booking
As a member of Oneworld Alliance, American Airlines is partnered with airlines around the world including Aer Lingus, British Airways, Finnair, Iberia, Japan Airlines, Qantas, and Qatar Airways, and others. So American Airlines AAdvantage members will gain loyalty points for the journey to Europe even if they travel on a Finnair flight because it is a partner airline.
The seats on sale are all in the basic economy cabin class. Tickets are non-refundable but the price includes one personal item and one carry-on bag. Travelers can add checked luggage for an additional fee. According to the airline's website, seat assignments will be provided upon check-in, and even if you've saved up your loyalty points, it's not guaranteed that passengers can upgrade to a different cabin class. For a short trip over the pond, though, an economy seat at the promotion price is well worth it. Hurry and book that dream European vacation for cheap before tickets run out!
