Explore The Best Of Baton Rouge At The City's Only Luxury RV Resort In A Premium Location

Despite being the capital city of Louisiana, Baton Rouge is not always considered the most obvious tourist attraction in the Pelican State. However, you can have a variety of amazing experiences in this unique 300-year-old city. Incredible food? Check. Fascinating history? Check. Beautiful wildlife? Check. Do you enjoy lively casinos and energetic nightlife? Baton Rouge has you covered. How about gorgeous architecture and interesting museums? You'll need almost a week to hit all the attractions. Are you into college football? Would you like to enjoy a game in one of the biggest stadiums in the country?

So whether you're an SEC football fan, a history buff, or just on a Louisiana road trip to New Orleans, there are a lot of fabulous reasons to visit Baton Rouge. But even if you're a seasoned vet with many successful RV trips under your belt, we're willing to bet you've never seen an RV resort quite like the new Tiger's Trail RV Resort.

Amenities at Tiger's Trail

As you turn into Tiger's Trail RV Resort, you'll be greeted by the clubhouse, which includes a general store, laundry facilities, and a concierge service to help you make the most of your trip. Behind the clubhouse is the delightful resort-style pool with a lazy river where you can cool off after a game at the pickleball court or a stroll on the walking trails. If you're planning to hit the gaming tables, you can take the shuttle or rent a golf cart to take the private path to the L'Auberge Casino & Hotel next door.

Tiger's Trail offers 220 RV sites (both back-ins and pull-throughs) with full hookups and Wi-Fi. Standard sites include parking for vehicles and golf carts, along with a picnic table and a fire ring. If you want a few extra amenities, you can book a luxury site for a better location, more space, and upgraded patios. Regardless of which site you pick, if you're just not up to cleaning on your trip, you can book an RV cleaning service through the concierge.

Three different types of cottages are also available on the property. The standard cottage sleeps four and includes a queen-size bed and a futon. The one-bedroom cottage with a loft sleeps six and includes a queen-size bed, a futon, and two twin beds in the loft. The top-tier cottage includes all of that plus a waterfront view. All cottages include a fully equipped kitchen, a furnished front porch, a full bathroom with shower, and a private driveway.

Things to see and do in Baton Rouge

If you're in Baton Rouge for a football game at Death Valley (or eating your way through the South on a delicious road trip), be sure to grab a bite to eat at local institution The Chimes at its original location on Highland. Yelp reviewers love the delicious Cajun food, lively atmosphere, and extensive beer list. If that isn't a winning combination, we don't know what is.

For a day of culture, take a free tour of Louisiana's Old State Capitol to see stunning architecture and learn its interesting history from a variety of rotating exhibits. Next, stroll over to the Louisiana Art & Science Museum. Admission is just $15 for adults and includes all exhibits plus unlimited planetarium shows. Finish off the day with the LSU Museum of Art featuring over 6,500 works of art. Admission is $5 for adults unless you visit on Friday night or the first Sunday of the month when admission is free.

For a unique upscale nightlife experience, make a reservation at The Tunnel Speakeasy at Hilton Capitol Center. This location has a storied past full of crooked politicians and backroom deals. Keep in mind there is a dress code, reservations are required, and you do have to know the code to get in (follow their social media pages to know when they'll be open). But rumor has it the atmosphere and cocktails are worth the trouble.
