The Convenient New England Airport Known For Being One Of America's Best

Bradley International Airport may not be one of the biggest facilities in the country or the most luxurious airport in the world, but the mid-sized hub is consistently rated one of the best in America. Condé Nast Traveler highlighted the Hartford, Connecticut airport in its 2024 ranking of the top 10 best airports in the U.S., placing it at number eight on the list. This is the eighth year in a row that Bradley International has been named one of the top airports in the country by the publication.

The awards are determined by readers' votes, totaling over 575,000 in the 2024 poll. Survey respondents particularly appreciated the convenience of Hartford Bradley. The airport offers several easily accessible parking lots, plenty of charging stations, and free Wi-Fi for visitors. It's also in close proximity to major cities New York City and Boston, as well as Springfield, Providence, New Haven, and Albany. Even without being a large port, Bradley International boasts over 45 nonstop destinations serviced by 12 different airlines. Fliers can skip the chaos of navigating New York City airports or Boston's Logan International Airport in favor of the calmer environment at the Hartford hub.

Bradley International Airport continues to get better

If you haven't flown in or out of Bradley International yet, you might find yourself at the airport in the near future, given its increase in popularity. It is now the second-busiest airport in New England and, according to the Hartford Business Journal, saw an 8% increase in passengers in 2023. This may be largely thanks to the addition of airlines such as budget-friendly carrier Breeze Airways.

To accommodate the growing number of visitors, Bradley International Airport has been busy expanding its amenities and renovating its terminal. The hub has added shops including Charter Oak Emporium and CT River Landing, upgraded its New England Travel Mart store, and opened eateries such as Beercode Kitchen & Bar and Starbucks. These are in addition to several other restaurants, coffee spots, and gift shops available at the New England port. More updates are in the works to make the airport even more convenient to navigate, whether you're leaving the Hartford area or you've just landed.
