Swim In Some Of Las Vegas' Most Unique Pools At These 5 Hotels

Sometimes a hotel is just a place to crash after long days spent exploring your vacation destination. Other times, the hotel itself a destination. This is definitely the case for quite a few of the hotels and resorts in Las Vegas. While a lot of these places have casinos occupying the ground floors, there are plenty of things to do that aren't gambling. Among these options is hanging out by the pool.

As with most things in Vegas, some of the coolest pools in this desert city are over the top and offer a unique experience. Many match the themes and decor of the hotels they're apart of, adding to the one-of-a-kind atmosphere you might be looking for during your stay. Other hotels have practically turned their pools into event venues perfect for listening to music and watching sports, and you might not even need to be staying at the hotel to access the space.

Exploring Sin City's range of wild pool facilities can help you find the perfect fit for your trip. Whether you're looking to party with friends or unwind under a cabana with your family, here are five of the most unique pool options to consider in Las Vegas.

Check out a water slide that goes through a shark tank

Unfortunately, remnants of what Vegas was like in the mid-20th century are dwindling as old buildings are replaced with new ones. However, Fremont Street has been largely spared. This street is now pedestrian-only and was the original Vegas Strip. It is still home to Vegas icons like Vegas Vic, a huge neon cowboy sign from the 1950s. Also on Fremont Street is the Golden Nugget, a four-star hotel beloved for its regal exterior. Within it is a $30 million dollar modern marvel that you can enjoy even if you are not a hotel guest. Known as the Tank Pool, the Golden Nugget has a pool surrounding a massive shark tank. What's more intriguing is this tank has a tube slide that runs right through the middle. On top is a bar along with rentable daybeds or private cabanas.

Tank Pool is open to all ages except when it hosts Friday Night Swim for those aged 21 and up with cocktails and DJs. The Golden Nugget has a second, more low-key pool called the Hideout that is always restricted to 21 and up. Check the online calendar to purchase admission to either pool and see when Friday Night Swim events will occur.

Relax poolside and watch major sporting events

At the end of Fremont Street is Circa Resort and Casino. This resort is the perfect destination to celebrate a bachelor party thanks to what Circa calls Stadium Swim. Circa has six pools arranged to emulate stadium seating and all have great views of the resort's 143-foot screen dedicated to showing high profile sporting events. There is more than one bar and plenty of rentable booths, loungers, and cabanas too. Why go to an ordinary sports bar when you can go to one with six pools and a super-sized screen?

Stadium Swim is not restricted to Circa hotel guests and is open every day of the year. However major events receive special attention. Stadium Swim is the site of Circa's The Big Game watch party for the Super Bowl each year. At other times throughout the year, this unique hangout becomes Circa Fight House for boxing, UFC, and other PPV watch parties. For any of the resort's poolside events, you can reserve your spot and any loungers or cabanas online.

Elvis Presley fans will especially enjoy the Flamingo Hotel pools

Hollywood Reporter founder Billy Wilkerson wanted to emulate popular hotels in Europe with his own in Las Vegas. After receiving financial investments from mobsters like Bugsy Siegel, the Flamingo Las Vegas was born in 1946. Major renovations over the years have thankfully not taken away from the original idyllic and tropical themes that flamingos evoke. This is especially true for the hotel's long-beloved pool, which even served as a filming location for the classic Elvis Presley film "Viva Las Vegas" in 1963.

There are now two pools at the Flamingo, both only open to Flamingo hotel guests. As the name suggests, the Family Pool is for all ages. The larger GO Pool is for people 21 and up, with DJs playing every day. What makes both pools worth a visit is the tropical island feel created by the decor, which includes huge palm trees, a lagoon, waterfalls, and of course plenty of pink. You can rent cabanas and check hours of operation online, as these two pools do not follow the same yearly schedule.

Relax at the luxurious Delano Beach Club

Across from Allegiant Stadium is Delano Las Vegas. Delano guests can spend time at the hotel's exclusive Delano Beach Club. The pool at this beach club looks like an oasis fit for Mediterranean royalty, thanks to its palm trees and modern furniture that includes white and blue loungers, hammocks, and cabanas. Such aesthetics are major draws on their own, but look closer for a unique feature. Delano Beach Club has a huge chess set in a shallow section of the pool.

Loungers and other seating at Delano Beach Club come free with a stay at Delano, but you might want to reserve your choice of seating online ahead of time in case room runs out. Adding to the luxury are the services you can get no matter where you choose to relax by the pool. You can sip on signature cocktails poolside or even get a massage right at your lounger or cabana. A stay at Delano gives you access to Mandalay Bay's pools, but offers a quieter experience with all the same feelings of glamour.

Swim like an emperor at Caesars Palace

Among Las Vegas's most famous hotel and casino resorts is Caesars Palace. Its size and opulence is slightly intimidating, but that might be exactly what the ancient Roman rulers would have wanted if there ever were a hotel based on their empire. If exploring the buildings gets tiring, relax by the incredible Garden of the Gods Pool Oasis. There are actually seven pools and coincidentally (or maybe not), Rome itself was said to have been built on seven hilltops.

Each pool is different. For example, Temple Pool is decorated with statues and columns reminiscent of the iconic Roman ruins found in multiple parts of Europe. The larger Neptune Pool has similar decor and is the place to go for a party atmosphere. Go online to see which pool fits the type of experience you want to have. Online is also where you can make a reservation to get into Garden of the Gods if you are not a hotel guest at Caesars Palace. If you add a cabana or day bed to your pool visit, you'll also be able to get cocktails from poolside servers.
