Bring The Gang: Best Group Campgrounds In Grand Teton NP
Sometimes all you want is a quiet weekend away with your closest friends—all 20 or 30 of them. That takes a little planning. In most national parks, group camping is limited to specific areas, and it's smart to book early. Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming, home to some of the most gorgeous peaks in the West and one of the most popular protected areas in the nation, is no exception. Visitors come from around the world to hike the extensive network of trails, fly fish the Snake and other rivers, and tour the historic and scenic old homesteads of Mormon Row.
If your spring and summer plans with friends include a stop in Grand Teton, here's what you need to know about group camping within the park. Both of these sites are close to Moose, Wyoming, the tiny town that's home to the park headquarters, a visitor center, the Grand Teton Natural History Association and a post office.
