Instead, bring a postcard or two of your home town or pack a photo of your kids, nieces or nephews or even your dog. They'll be excited about learning about you, and you'll make a stronger connection with them. While exploring India's Rajasthan desert, I loved showing—and trying to explain—my orca-whale postcard to all of the children who I encountered."
