Dubai has some seriously gorgeous beaches, and it's totally acceptable to wear swimwear when you're at the beach or the pool. Swim trunks, one pieces, and bikinis are all fine, but you should prepare to cover up when you aren't swimming. Brazilian-style or thong bikinis are considered disrespectful. Bring a fashionable cover-up that you can throw on when you're traveling to and from the pool and beach.

Dubai is extremely hot, and during the summer months the heat can be almost unbearable. Tourists who aren't used to extreme heat may want to avoid visiting during the summer months, when temperatures often exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Rain is infrequent, so there's no need to bring bulky rain jackets that will only take up space in your luggage.

While keeping your skin covered is respectful, it's also practical because it will help protect you against the harsh sun. It's very important to choose breathable lightweight fabrics in order to stay cool in the heat. Linen and lightweight cottons are excellent choices. Loose fitting clothing will help you stay comfortable even on the warmest days.
